This 200 year old manor house provides the perfect setting for family get-togethers and reunions. With six bedrooms, this remarkable stone house can comfortably sleep 12 adults and children. Le Manoir retains much of the grandeur of its former life, with impressive fireplaces, original doors, stone hallways and a splendid, south facing terrace overlooking Le Manoir’s private pool- refurbished for 2007. Adults will love the grandeur of this historic house whilst the children will enjoy exploring all the nooks and crannies that make a house like this an intriguing place to stay. Inside, a well equipped kitchen (with large American style fridge and ice-maker) provides ample facilities to cater for adults and children alike. The dining area features a banqueting table and chairs whilst the sitting room comfortably sits twelve on three large sofas around an impressive open fire place. This room houses a large flat screen satellite TV, DVD and video recorder for those quieter moments of the day. The six bedrooms - three doubles and three twins - plus two bathrooms (one is downstairs), comfortably cater for up to three families. Additional cots can be added where necessary. One of the twin bedrooms - historically used to keep a watchful eye on young daughters - is accessed through a double room, and would be ideal for a baby or young children. Wood burning stoves, open fires and central heating make this house a cosy place to stay in spring and autumn- and especially at Christmas.Outside...
Le Manoir commands a majestic position over its rural location. With a fantastic - and totally private - terrace on which to enjoy al fresco life, it is easy to see why people come back again and again. A gated set of steps leads down to a banked grass area also for your exclusive use and a shaded area under stone arches. There is a small pond which has a metal grate to prevent swimming! The enclosed swimming pool (30` by 15` and newly lined for 2007) is designated for the exclusive use of the Le Manoir and is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The children, on the other hand, may find other ways to enjoy the pool! Down a small path behind Le Manoir, it is only a short walk to the local village and a family friendly restaurant. The playbarn, outdoor play area and games barn are a perfect alternative to splashing around in the pool. If that is not enough, there are still 40 acres of parkland to explore, plus the greater world outside Le Manoir - the only question will be, what to do first? Parent Point!
