Tots to France is all about making it much easier to take your children away on holiday and we do as much as we possibly can to make this a reality. With this in mind we visit every single property that we put on the site and look at it through the eyes of a parent - often our children come too! Here are just some of the things that we look for: - Enclosed or securely covered pools
- Locks on low windows
- Pool and cleaning chemicals locked away
- Staircases which cannot be closed off using a door have stairgates on them
- Where possible, gardens are enclosed
- We highlight protential hazards within the house eg. split levels etc. We believe that forwarned is forarmed.

We know what you want!We realise that families with small children have very specific needs. This can be as basic as ensuring that pans are big enough to cook for the whole family to making sure that there are changing mats and potties. In fact, what we aim to do is provide the basic necessities that we take for granted at home. Not only that, but we provide comprehensive information about what is available at each property and will gladly guide you through what to pack. We can even ensure that there is full fat milk in the fridge on your arrival and a Baby Pack waiting! A Welcome Pack or a Shopping Service is available in many of the properties. The aim is to give you a great start to your holiday. Welcome Packs are included in the price of your holiday. It is reassuring to know that after a long journey most of the items that you may need for your baby can be ready and waiting for you on your arrival.
Realistic Expectations: Holiday properties not padded cellsWhat we cannot do is make a house completely hazard or inconvenience free - this is unrealistic. Most of our properties are beautiful period properties- they are NOT padded cells. They mostly have wooden or tiled floors not carpets so may be noisier than homes in the UK; they are often in rural parts of France where there may be some noise from a cockerel or a tractor or two even in the early hours, or if they are in a village there will of course be some road noise. Please be realistic about what to expect and bear in mind there is no substitution for parental responsibility. A special note on babysitting: it is often possible to organise baby-sitting at the properties. We can give you details of how to organise this but you should ensure you are content to leave your children with the babysitter and ask to meet before hand if you wish. Towels and Linen
We know how important it is to start on the right note, so at most properties, we have included all your bath towels and linen into the package. Your beds will be made up so all you have to do when you arrive is make yourselves at home! You will need to bring your own towels for outdoor use and around the pool at most properties - please check on the information table for each property.
